Religion without dogma and fear

31 of October 2009

Isn’t most of a sacrament during all. At slightest it’s not what you have been used to. A sacrament which doesn’t shock a shit out of it’s believers will never last. That’s only a inlet of a game. People similar to Brock loly have been job ‘godlessness’ a sacrament in sequence to have atheism demeanour as frightful as christianity. Trouble with which is, there have been no gods. No hell. No fright of god’s wrath. No “commandments” Bottom line? NO DOGMA. Secular Humanism might appear peremptory upon a tiny scale. we suspect a convictions would …

  3. A religion that doesn’t scare its believers? How about buddhism? Well, wait…I guess that’s not really a religion, is it? More of a philosophy.

  4. Exactly, they are doing what is called projection. They try to make themselves feel equal by projecting their own flaws on us, secular humanism is a dogma free philosophy which is by definition not a religion.

  6. One name for you: Fred Phelps
If that doesn’t show you how dogmatic thought, indoctrination and a religion so twisted you can’t imagine believing in it, nothing will. Read up on Westboro Baptist Church.

  7. 1. It is destructive to knowingly spread false information.

    2. I don’t care about people being ‘happy’ if they are happy about being destructive.

    3. Charity can (and does) exist without religion.

    4. Social networks can exist without spreading bullshit in order to gain members.

    5. Happiness can also be gained without spreading lies and false information.

    6. Pointing out these things does not make me dogmatic.

  8. What destruction do the majority of Christians cause exactly? I do think that religion can help people to be happier, but the list of positives is much longer then just happiness. There are a hell of a lot of religious charity’s for one, and churches provide an excellent social network for all walks of people in a given locality. Social networks and happiness are a key ingredient to a successful civilization. Haven’t you ever played that game?? duh.

  9. I agree that for them there is nothing destructive about it. I’m just not concerned about how they ‘feel’ about the destruction they cause. lol What exactly is this ‘positive’ you’re talking about? Happy people being happy because they believe in Jesus? lol That’s fine with me, but there is nothing religious about pointing out the flawed nature of dogmatic thought. Also… what is this “my reality” shit? We have methods of knowing what’s real ya know.. just sayin. :P

  10. For the majority of Christians, there is nothing destructive about it. If I were to only emphasize the exception to the norm(religious fundie douche bags), and discount the positive, I would be guilty of the same sort of zealotry that pisses me off (religious fundie douche bags). Just because I decide to base my reality on empirical evidence, does not mean that I believe everyone should think the way I do. Nor do I believe that the world would be a better place if everyone did.

  11. Certainly the occult-befuddled clowns who claim atheism is a “religion” do not actually believe it: they’re engaged in a political campaign, not an honest discussion.

  12. ‘ I really believe they are simply the recording of mythology after generations of oral tradition.’

I believe that too. Because that’s what it is. Only….it’s not taught that way. lol That’s why it’s destructive. If the guy telling the story said “hey kids! Are you ready for some mythology after generations of oral tradition?!” I wouldn’t have shit to say. lol

    Comment by Sarahon06 — October 31, 2009 @ 4:36 am

  13. I suppose you could call them lies, but I really believe they are simply the recording of mythology after generations of oral tradition. They are the last social link we have to ancient culture. People can never agree on anything, let alone interpretation. Some people use it to manipulate others. Some use it as a platform to do good. In any event, there is a reason it exists. Probably similar to the reason ants use chem trails to work as a group. Now go smoke some shit and ponder that.

  15. I suppose I don’t see anything positive about spreading lies. No matter how good they make people feel. :P

  16. Great video, but I’m not sure the “God said so” thing is a deeper level of dangerous then secular philosophy’s can be. I guess this is where our opinions have always differed. There are thousands of people making different claims about different gods. In the end it all becomes white noise. Modern industrial society grew up along side Christianity…this means there is compatibility. Also one must be fair and balanced as to the net effect, positive and negative, of religion.

  17. that whole “atheism just another religion”
bullshit is just a device for ppl like venomfangx to use to herd his sheeple =P

    Comment by SEF6519 — October 31, 2009 @ 4:36 am

  18. My problem with people like Brock is his arrogance. I’m convinced that’s the overarching problem, the wellspring of dogma is human arrogance. If a group of dishonest, arrogant douches can get together and convince others that the man in the sky told them they were right, then you have a religion. Oh and by the way did I mention Brock was a douchebag? I just don’t think that can ever be stressed enough.

and Brian warner would support me

    thus your religion
