    It was Hulagu (not Genghiz) Khan who invaded Baghdad and was behind the massacres of its inhabitants and destroying of the libraries. Read up on him on wiki, he was a cruel man. But one of his sons named Tekudir (Taqdir), became a Muslim afterwards.

    a lot of it was destroyed in bagdad. the rivers of bagdad turn blue coz of the huge number of books that was thorwn in it. also a lot of it was destroyed here in Al-andalus. over million books was burnt after muslims were driven out.
