Jesus Plagiarized

The story of Jesus is really identical to alternative stories. Whose story is it? References: 1. “The Oxford Guide: Essential Guide to Egyptian Mythology”, Edited by Donald B. 1. You do know that worship of Horus predates the Jesus story by a few thousand years, yes?

  2. To answer your last question from your movie….its easy, it was Christ’s story to begin with.

  3. you can call me a dipshit or say i have flaws in my theory but the first time i ever went over religion in history…which they shouldn’t even be talking about. it seems that they’re all too similar. so you could go say muhammad was stolen from another religion. it’s confusing but i think there’s a religion that isn’t even alive anymore. and i think it holds the answers

  4. Nothing is true, your logic or mine doesn´t apply to everybody, theist watching this video, is you don’t like it then don’t watch it, atheist if theist want to be slaves, well then let them be so, stop this crapy fighting

    Comment by Veringetorix — November 11, 2009 @ 8:28 pm

  5. For me people are deities, save for the theist, I know that sound silly, but I rather see humans as deities than slaves of their own myths

  6. I also think we downgrade ourselves, we could be much more, humanity as a whole need to realise that our limitations are our biases

  7. Hahaha who said I was a theist, I am an atheist

    Comment by Veringetorix — November 11, 2009 @ 8:28 pm

  8. @Veringetorix – I’m curious, were you made into a theist by the carrot approach or the stick approach; that is, parents who were so nice to you that you wouldn’t think of questioning their beliefs, or strict ones who scared god into you?

  9. Sorry for the pedantry, but I’ve only seen it spelled crucificion and crucifixion.
Horus’ myth was not just copied by the Jews, but by many other tribes and city-states in that area. Check out the section of Zeitgeist (google it) for some leads.

  10. I agree, I’m surprised FA made this video. Gary Habermas did a study and found that only 5 out of every 10,000 historians support this parallel mania

  12. A man who claims his own understanding gives him peace is walking in great darkness. His God, Logic, will bring him no peace, love, or comfort all his days and will turn inward on his death bed.

  13. You all should believe in god, just not in the way most do

    Comment by Veringetorix — November 11, 2009 @ 8:28 pm

  14. Why would I want to have any evidence, god is everything, the fact that you breathe is enough proof. Hope you see the light one day

    Comment by Veringetorix — November 11, 2009 @ 8:28 pm

  15. be better it will be. None of this would really be an issue if you religous people would stop trying to justify wars in the name of God, and your coming wars that you so badly want so your god will come back and save you. Thou shall not kill remember and I don’t remember god saying its OK as long as you do it for me, but I’m sure the brian washed have a different opinion and of course your right gods on your side you know that don’t you….lol

  16. Some atheists are stupid…but all those who believe in Jesus are stupid or any deity for that matter because only their deity is the true living one. A bunch of fairy tales do not support evidence for a GOD and another human that says they have a personal relationship with GOD is not evidence either.. ecspecially when that person is expecting money for their “knowledge” of said fairytales from which they draw their own irrational conclusions. Jesus is a placebo if you believe your life will

    Comment by xpaladoshes — November 11, 2009 @ 8:28 pm

  17. Logic is not a thing that people believe in though. Logic is just the process of experiencing something with any of your senses and using your brain to analyse it.

Christians have to use logic also in everyday life forthings as simple as crossing the road. as the old advert says you look, listen and think.

  18. I am not familiar with the evidence to say my opinion about the Hrous-Jesus similarities. I will say, however, that the only sources I have heard the claim from are strongly Atheistic ones.

You know, the type of stupid Atheists who are unable to look at the history of religion from an objective angle, without a personal agenda against it.

Isn’t it ironic that this comment will be downvoted for no other reason than saying that SOME Atheists are stupid?

    Comment by Larty42 — November 11, 2009 @ 8:28 pm

  19. Many (if not most) of these ‘similarities’ are based on very old scholarship from the 1930s (I think) and from a single Egyptologist. Achira S is a wannabe scholar with only a bachelor’s degree who basically sourced all of her work on this one man. And from Achira S came conspiracy videos like Zeitgeist (from which this video seems to be inspired). Try to find a modern-day Egyptologist or specialist on ancient deities who will back these claims about Horus and you’ll be shit out of luck.

  20. There are no known ancient texts making these claims about Horus. I have really tried to search for what these claims are based upon, but it leads nowhere. The Jesus and Horus myth seems to be nothing more than a fraud made to undermine Christianity.

    Comment by LittleGods — November 11, 2009 @ 8:28 pm

  21. Most of the facts that people claim about horus are either highly debateable, or very contradictary. For example, there have been a few, much much later sources that say horus was born of a virgin. In fact, some of the sources that say horus was born of a virgin date after Jesus. Most other sources don’t even mention a virgin birth.

That is just 1 example, and most “facts” about horus are just like that

  23. Finally!!!

A Christ cult member who admits they are wrong. Sadly you follow it up with a “feeling,” & psychological projection.

As for you again using special pleading, it will not work. HOWEVER, if you truly believe in special pleading, I beg you to please dedicate your life to it. Pick one crime against humanity & focus on it. If you have the power to change it, then please leave me alone & continue on that. I will sacrifice the possibility that you can change me, for you changing world

  24. Michael…point made…not all profs are atheists.
I believe you are bitter towards God and those who may have hurt you in the church. No amount of proof will change a heart in rebellion towards God. I am sorry if you were hurt or disillusioned. I hope and WILL pray tonight that you will find grace and will humble yourself in repentance to God. You can categorize me, call into question my motives or insult me…but I truly hope that you turn back to the Lord and away from your pride.

    Comment by Deferio — November 11, 2009 @ 8:28 pm

  25. Remember, I was once like you. I am well aware of your tactics & will not let you get away with them.

Your first claim was that everyone is bias & no one can be objective.

Do you want to start there or shall we move on, because that one is a LOSER!

    *snicker*
