  9. Beautifully sung and brilliantly acted. I love both this and the 2000 version. This Jesus seems to be spirtually deeper; the 2000 version Jesus is more emotional.

  10. My Daddy used to sing this to me every night until I fell asleep when I was little. I liked his version better.

  11. The only musical that I really love (being a straight male). Saw the broadway version a few years ago with Carl Anderson (from the ’73 movie) as Judas and Sebastiann Bach (metal singer) as Jesus.

It was okay…but nothing close the movie.

  16. I think one is supposed to feel sorry for him.

There are no villians in the story only people who make mistakes.

  17. Every JCS video I see on YouTube has all these gits commenting on this guy is better than that one, etc. Is this the way are society judges evrything now? With shows like American Idol, Vh1 Top 100 (fill in the blank),Fantasy Football geeks, etc.; everything is reduced to a competition by comparison. Who cares? Expand your feeble minds!

  20. Mary Magdelene has a good voice, no doubt, but I can’t stand it either. It just droans lol.

I think Ted Neeley easily has a better voice than Glenn Carter, same with Carl Anderson and Jerome Pradon. Anderson all the way.

  21. I think the 2000 version had better singing and the 1973 had better acting. Im not saying the cast in this version isnt good cause they are. But i cant stand Mary Magdelene’s voice.
