  1. I like the way Judas was climbing, singing, and skillfully watching his step on the scaffold at all times.

  4. I know I shouldn’t, but I always laugh when the first high priest sings (3:12) :3 His voice is just so high xD
And still, it’s awesome! I remember watching this when I was like 5 yro and I wanted sooo much to have a big brother who’d be like Judas (I didn’t know anything about the bible at the time!). This musical is 100% epic!

  5. I love this musical. It makes it seem like most of the involved parties are human, not just GOOD/BAD, GOD/BETRAYAL etc. All the characters are fairly sympathetic, Caiaphas, Annas and the rest of them are there trying to protect their people and maintain some of their population, Jesus is trying to do good and act as a figurehead without letting it go to his head(though it does), Judas is trying to keep his mission pure, etc. Plus some of the details seem more believable than son of god shit

  7. Amazing symbolism, the tanks rolling in show the inevitability of the destiny of Jesus, the construct in the desert made up by the Jews. The Jews costumes are incredible. The voice of Judas powerful.

  10. If Judas hadn’t betrayed Jesus then he wouldn’t have had the opportunity to die for yours sins. Christianity needed Judas, Christians should be thanking him.

  11. Its to represent a war waged against the Jesus movement. To give you a modern look on Judas’s conflict. Picture you unarmed vs a tank brigade. Judas thinking the battle was already lost made a peace treaty as such. The Jets leaving represents to the enemy pulling back from such an arrangement

  17. I do marvel at Peter. Here is a person who denied Christ 3 times. Each morning with the roosters crow, he was painfully reminded of that betrayal. Yet, the amazing thing is that Christ met him in the morning and asked Peter 3 times if he loved Him. What an incredible story of redemption and restoration.

Here we are debating who was the better man. I caution you to avoid such talk. God would say that both Peter and Judas are His children. His love for them would be the same.

  20. Every man is defined by his actions. If a good man constantly makes bad choices – is he a good man? Peter’s only true mistake was his own fear and insecurity. His denial was followed by his life’s devotion and spreading the gospel. So he’s ok.

There was only one man among the 12 who was dark, confused, and selfish enough to SELL our Savior to those who wanted Him dead. Judas betrayed probably the only person who ever loved or believed in him.

  24. Judas’s betrayal was not the worst he had done. Jesus had to die for us some how. It’s what Judas did afterwards that made him so frowned upon. He gave up and hung himself. What if he didn’t? Well, Peter denied Jesus two times more than Judas betrayed him. But Peter did not give up, he mourned for himself, but he got up and went to redeem himself and spread the good news. He became the first Pope. It makes you wonder “what if”. Judas was a good man with bad choices.
