   @februaryada- Why do they need to fall out of love? Why can’t they just love each other enough to get through their problems and stay together?? I also think that so many people, including myself, love Chrolli because of their chemistry (part 45, anyone?)- NOT their sexual orientation.

   I have to agree. But see my earlier comment. They are a couple, doesn’t matter that they are Gay. And for the first time in a long time, they are allowed their issues like any other couple. That is where the drama will play out.

   I yell out LOUD that the writers are getting it right this time around. That a committed Gay couple has to face up to their own problems like everyone else. Being Gay is just a subtext. Fighting for what you want in this world as a couple in love is “ta bomb”

    One has got to remember that a couple is a couple – Gay or str8, and as such have temptations. Temptatations that may be orientation specific, but temptations non- the – less.

    However, it’s the RARITY of a COMMITTED Gay couple in a soap that makes this SO special, hence the “extra” caring. We Gays get so little “normalcy” in TV exposure, that it is important that we see a positive, loving, committed Gay couple facing the world just like everyone else.

    Actually what I was trying to say is gay couple seems not allow to break up because the audience love them.
    Breaking up does not necessarily mean that one of them loves another new guy, it can be that the couple just dont feel the love to each other anymore

    OK – the writers are going abit to give the boys a storyline, but IT is a storyline for the first time in a long time. And NOT so far fetched. Rebecca in love (or LUST) for Christian and Rob after Ollie (although me’thinks that is a farce, more to lead Ollie where he has better control of the club scene). However, it’s life and it happens.

    BUT, a simple hug can say SO much.

    Ollie can be so damned stupid with men sometimes. I know he’s not naive so what else could it be? He has a photo intimating that Chris might be right but allows stuff to keep moving along just to make his place another “studio 54″. It makes me wonder just how important Chris is to him….am I wrong?

    @februaryada Well, I think gay couples stay together on soaps longer because unlike straight couples, there aren’t usually many other options out there. Straight characters can date a large number of people, gays can’t, seeing as there are usually only a small handful of them on a show at one time. It’s not necessarily a matter of people liking them more [there are straight couples I absolutely ADORE], it’s a matter of having options for them without taking away from everyone else.
